SKIM
Skim is an ultra-high performance protein skimmer designed for use in live holding systems and closed circuits, such as aquaculture recirculation systems (RAS systems) and depuration units. It efficiently processes up to 100 cubic meters of water per hour and can support up to 19,000lbs of shellfish in a closed system without water exchange.
Operating purely mechanically, the Skim controls foam density through a patented system that avoids water jets and waste. The foam is then liquefied and removed by pressure, gravity, or mechanical means, effectively eliminating micro particles, suspended solids, bacteria, and some viruses.
Easily integrated into existing treatment basins or dedicated tanks, the Skim can be installed on floats or as a fixed setup. It offers controlled oxygenation with programmable hourly rates and enhances water circulation, helping to suspend and evacuate sediment.
The Skim features adjustable foam liquid concentration with discharge rates ranging from 2 liters per hour up to 4 cubic meters per hour. The SKIM PLUS version enhances functionality with automatic cupel level control, optimizing water consumption and foam evacuation, all controlled by a PLC integrated into the control cabinet.
The SKIM PLUS PACK makes it possible to turn a traditional Skim into a Skim Plus.
